Dead Sea Scrolls: Texts, Collections, Dates, and Discovery
The Dead Sea Scrolls are Jewish manuscripts and manuscript fragments, mostly in Hebrew and Aramaic, found chiefly in caves near Qumran from 1947 onward. They include biblical manuscripts and diverse Second Temple Jewish writings; they are not a single book or a single sect's library.
